  10. the SETUP program. Once you have done this, run TOMB.EXE and off you go.

  36. Q.    Tomb Raider does not Auto Select my Sound Card. What do I do ?
  37.  
  38. A.    There are some sound cards and system specs which make it
  39.     impossible for us to detect your sound card. In these cases you will
  40.     have to manually select your card. Select the option to 
  41.     "Manually Select Card". If you are not sure what settings you should
  42.     use for the DMA and IRQ settings, there are a number of ways to find
  43.     out:
  44.    i.    From the DOS prompt, type SET. If your sound card is Sound Blaster
  45.     compatible there should be a system variable called BLASTER.
  46.     This will show your settings. 
  47.    ii.    If you cannot find this and you have Windows '95 then from the
  48.     Start Button select "Settings", then "Control Panel", then select
  49.     the "System" icon. Select the "Device Manager" tab and double click
  50.     on the word "Computer" [the top item on the list]. From here 
  51.     you can see what your DMA and IRQ settings are for your sound card.
  52.     Do not change any settings. Select CANCEL from the various windows
  53.     you have opened and close the Control Panel.
  54.    iii    If neither of these methods are suitable, there should be a program
  55.     supplied with your Sound Card which allows you to see what your 
  56.     settings are.

  59. Q.    My menu screens and SVGA version of the game corrupted, why ?
  60.  
  61. A.    If you find that the SVGA graphics resolution of the game, together 
  62.     with some of the menus are incorrectly displayed this is probably due
  63.     to a VESA problem. **Tomb Raider requires a VESA compliant graphics
  64.     card in order to function correctly**.

  68. Note:   If the frame rate seems too slow, you can switch from high resolution to 
  69.         low resolution (F1), decrease the screen size (F2), or lower the detail
  70.         level (pause menu).
